Pour ceux qui lise l'anglais voici ci dessous les réponses que j'ai donné aux questions de Mina pour le fanzine DISAGREED #2. cliquez sur le lien pour avoir la totalité du zine!
Bonne lecture

Mina: Hi! Please tell us where are you from, for the start?
And what's your environment like?

Marko: I live in the west of France between the Channel and the Atlantic Ocean. I’m sure you know this area called Brittany, don’t you?
My house stands in the middle of nowhere, deep in the countryside. No neighbours, just birds, forest and fields. A really quiet place for sure. I live there with my girlfriend and my old dog, a French Sheppard called Spike.
But I haven’t lived there since I was born. I’ve been spending my time here for 3 years now. Before, I was in the East of France, in a city called BESANCON... Too many buildings, cars, cops and pollution for my delicate life.

Mina: What inspires you the most for creating art?

Marko: Arffffff, I think that comes from the frightening story of mankind. Whatever humans do generates disasters. They are cruel among themselves, they always want to win the power over the others and they destroy all what they touch. They are evil minded, harmful and are a lethal virus against the other animals.
I’m not proud of being a human but I try to create art from this dreadful condition.

Mina: For how long do you draw?
And how long does BLASTING DEAD exists?

I think I’ve been drawing since somebody gave me a pencil.
When I was young I tried to copy my favorite comic characters. At school, I caricatured my teachers in bad situations. I’ve always loved drawing.
At the beginning, “Blasting Dead” was a record label. But as I had never had enough money to produce new records I decided to stop this label activity to turn it on “Blasting dead artwork”. I started to sign my drawings with a Blasting dead label in 2007. Now that’s my job.

Mina: You create art for bands, labels, 'zines etc...
Do you like when freedom is given to you to draw what you want, or do you like detailed explanations for the drawings?

Marko: I never take an order when people tell me “Draw us what you want”. In the past I did some art commissions without explanations. At the end of the work they said: “Ooh thanx a lot but that’s not really what we wanted…”. I was disappointed because I was totally implicated in the art for them.
Now, before I start something, I always ask the intentions and the global idea of the bands. Sometimes lyrics of a song is enough, sometimes I need more explanations to be sure to be in the right direction.

Mina: What's the best gig you've ever been to? And why? :)

Marko: Ahhh A lot of gigs… The best one? I don’t know, maybe a show of MASS MURDERERS and MELMOR in 1997. I still remember this unforgettable party. It was on a small village along the beach in Normandy. The village was only ‘occupied’ by senior citizens during the summer holidays and the gig was on the 24th of august (the birthday of my girlfriend). A lot of punx were there and the population was frightened. At 5pm, before the show started, 2 panicked pigs came into the club with their shotguns. Totally crazy! They had never seen so many punx. I think they had never seen punk at all, full stop.
They went back to their pighouse during the gig. Mass Murderers were fantastic, they played a kind of Poison Idea punk style and Melmor was a celtic punk band really famous in the area. It was the first time I saw these 2 bands. A great time… they are my friends by now. (more about them on www.massprod.com)
In the morning, everybody slept on the beach or in the small streets in the village. Cops came back earlier. They tried to take pictures of our faces ahaha. Some punx were still sleeping but some who were awake showed them their ass… Punk is humor ahahah…

Mina: Please suggest us something, a good book you've read, maybe a comic, or some record you've listened to lately and liked a lot?

Marko: A book I can suggest: “Das Parfum, die Geschichte eines Mörders” by Patrick Süskind. I read it in French of course. That’s the story of a boy who was born without his own smell. No smell but a power: his nose! Nobody loved him and he decided to create his own smell. It was the first time that I could smell words in a book…
The last comic that I loved was “The Amazing screw-On Head” by Mike Mignola. That’s a compilation of short stories by the creator of Hellboy! Black and white, fun and horrific stories.
The last record who kicks my ass is the last Cd of my friends from Wales REJECTED (please listen their sound) . They play a really good punk rock.

Mina: How do you agree with people about your artworking? How can they contact you, and what information they must give you, so you could do something for them?

Marko: First, racists, fascists, sexists, male chauvinists, homophobic ones, stay away… For the other cool people, you can write me an email, I always answer you. Tell me about the artwork you need: a cd? A Lp? A poster? A logo? Black and white or color? And please write me your global idea and your intentions about the artwork you want. After speaking about prices and contributions, I ask 30% to start the work. I’ll send you a sketch to be sure to be in the right direction and change things in case of not.

Mina: Please feel free to say something to all of the readers ...

Marko: Thanx for everybody who’ll read my shit till the end. You want to make me happy, please visit my website, my blog or myspacecake.com, check my pics and comment on them!
Stay Free, stay punk, and raise hell!
